VILDIRHEART
INDIE FOLK
In 2010, a mom in her 40s asked her teenage son, Fredrik, and teenage daughter Maia, to join her band. A guitar player, Joakim, was also asked to join. With a friend of Fredrik, in a basement in Vendelsö, south of Stockholm, the first album was recorded and produced. In 2015 the band did a tour in Slovakia, a tour that gave more inspiration to write, record and release more new music. Influences vary from Icelandic Of Monsters and Men to Norwegian Kings of Convenience and Swedish First Aid Kit, Hästpojken and Mando Diao or music from the 70s like Nick Drake.
Having focus on lyrics, but never without a groovy sound is a goal.
Music is the language of the heart, says Karin, the band’s mother.
