Swedish Indie-rock artist Timberly was born out of a failed drag persona and a need to express identity.
While developing their musical abilities in the underground culture of Swedish Punk and Metal, Timberly had goals of incorporating elements of pop, funk and electronic that were often dismissed by their peers.
Growing tired of the elitism and restrictions of the genres, Timberly decided to reject any form of defining label for their music. Instead, finding and incorporating inspiration from unconventional sources.

With a voice that moves from buttery lows to shrieking highs, they explore gender and sexuality from a deeply frustrated P.O.V. Incorporating fuzzy distortion, HUGE 80s drums and ambient shoegaze elements to create a soundscape that is nostalgic yet boundary pushing.
Whether it be performing in high-heel gothic drag or busking behind a guitar, Timberly wants to challenge but puts entertainment before anything else.
